Swagtron T1-World’s First UL-Approved Hoverboard
Swagway underwent a rebranding, following unsafe hoverboards. Specifically, the Swagway X1. These boards were recalled for safety reasons. The fear of the boards catching fire. As a result, Swagtron has gone through the Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) testing, and has produced the world’s first UL approved Hoverboard (UL 2272 certified), the Swagtron T1. Also, the T1 is 2271 certified for the SentryShield™ Battery Multilayer Protection, as well. This is now one of the safest Hoverboards!
Swagtron T1 Tutorial – QVC
Okay…this is one of those infomercial style videos. It may be a bit older, so pricing may be incorrect (I’m guessing), but the features remain the same…and I gotta say, these girls do a fantastic job of showcasing the Swagtron T1, and describing it’s features. You really should watch this video. I did, and felt it was worthy enough to be on our website!

It should be steadily becoming apparent, that the theme for Swagtron is safety first, and the user experience. A company can rest it’s success on the overall experience of it’s customer. With that being said, the T1 has a series of enhancements, which set the bench-mark for the hoverboard world. The gear and motor system have been reworked to provide more stability, and therefore you end up with a much smoother ride. To add to the stabilization features, is a new Learning Mode. This extra stability and smoothness, makes it much easier for a newbie to master the art of hoverboarding. An additional safety feature are the non-slip footpads.

Swagtron T1 Review Verdict
We hope you’ve found our Swagtron T1 review helpful! As far as hoverboards go, the T1 is everything you could expect at this price point, and then some. Some of the fancier features (like Bluetooth speakers) are available in the higher-priced models, like the Swagtron T3. One point to highlight, however, is that no matter what hoverboard you end up with, you won’t find too many that are safer than the Swagtron T1 or T3. Having the Underwriter’s Laboratory certification (UL 2271 certified and UL 2272 certified), means you can sleep at night, if you give this as a gift to your child or your favorite nephew!
